Teddy arrived at the yard in early 2012 from his owner and breeder Lindsey Suenson-Taylor.  Lindsey has successfully bred racehorses for a number of years from Long House Stud near Bristol. Currently she has racehorses nearby with Charlie Longsdon, but has also been looking for an association with eventing.

Teddy offers Lindsey the perfect opportunity to own an event horse. He has serious athleticism and eye catching flashy paces, and of course being National Hunt bred means we have high expectations of him across country. He is also one of the most rewarding horses I have worked with – he works everything out with ease and enjoyment.

He jumped clear around three Four Year Old Classes during September and October, the highlight being his double clear at Milton Keynes, where he narrowly missed qualifying for the National Breeding Championships.

He will return to the yard to be aimed at BE100 in 2012.

Lindsey dreamt up Teddy’s competition name RILKE, as both Rilke and Pasternak (also the name of Teddy’s TB sire) were European poets, the former Austrian, the latter Russian.
